The city of Angels
Los Angeles is most widely known for it's sprawling beaches, congested motorways and glitz and glam of the Hollywood Hills. But amidst the heavily-populated metropolis and stark sterotypes lies an effervescent beauty. Pulling away from the chaotic crowds to the serene locals-only locations means finding peace and quiet, and pieces of art - both man-made and creation-curated. There is one sterotype, however, that holds true to its form, and that is the golden shimmer that the Los Angeles sun seems to spread across every inch of the vast landscape, giving a warm glow to all under it's veil.
My recent expedition to the city of angels was spend chasing the golden shimmer from the beaches of Orange county to the low-lying hills of Malibu. I advertured through the infamous downtown vacinity and up to the pictureesque lookout of the Griffith Obeservatory. Los Angeles may carry a number of reputations, varied as its people, but one thing is for certain, Los Angeles is a beautiful destination.
